It's about time Hollywood faced facts. Yes, George Clooney has film star good looks; yes he is a nice guy who has lots of A List friends and yes he does good work for charity.
   But his movies FLOP!
The 55-year-old actor-director-producer has only starred in four movies that grossed more than $100 million in the U.S. in the last 15 years, three of which were the Ocean’s movies, in which he was part of an ensemble cast. The fourth, 2013’s Oscar-winning hit “Gravity,”starred Sandra Bullock and Clooney was on screen for only a few minutes in little more than a cameo role.

The World War 11 drama The Monuments Men, which he directed and starred in, brought in just $70 million. More recently Tomorrowland was one of his biggest disasters, bringing in $93 million on a budget of $190.
Earlier this year he starred in Hail Caesar! which turned out to be the lowest grossing wide-release film ever made by the Coen brothers, taking in only $30 million on a $22 million budget.
The jury is still out on Clooney's latest effort, the just-opened Money Monster in which he stars with Julia Roberts.
But judging by the poor reviews it has been attracting it will do no better than his previous efforts.
