TEETOTAL BLAKE LIVELY BRINGS A BOTTLE OF GIN TO THE INTERVIEW

I don’t usually drink while doing an interview and I'm not fond of gin but Blake Lively insists. She pulls a bottle of gin and some plastic cups out of her bag and pours me a large one when we meet in New York at the Crosby Street Hotel.

Then she confesses: "I don't drink. This is what is fun for me---- I get to get everyone else drunk and enjoy the repercussions."

The gin, she says, is from hubby Ryan Reynolds company, Aviation American Giin, although she hasn't tried it herself.

"I don’t like the taste of alcohol but I am the at home mixologist and everybody is like 'Wait, why would you have the girl who doesn’t drink make me a drink? I don’t want her to make me a drink.

"But I love mudding the berries or squeezing the citrus or making twists."

In her new movie, the comedy-drama  A Simple Favor, 30-year-old Blake plays a martini-swigging mother who leaves her son with her best friend, played by Anna Kendrick, and then disappears.

"We were always struggling with 'is it a thriller or is it a comedy?'" she says.

TRIPLE THREAT----THREE ACTRESSES PLAY SHARON TATE IN A TRIO OF MOVIES ABOUT THE MANSON FAMILY MURDERS

Here's the first picture of Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, the actress murdered by Charles Manson's followers at the Los Angeles home on Cielo Drive she shared with her husband filmmaker Roman Polanski.

Margot, wearing a black sweater, white skirt and go-go boots as Tate, stars in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which director Quentin Tarantino describes as "a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969 at the height of hippy Hollywood."

The movie also stars Brad Pitt, as a washed-up actor from a Western TV series and Leonardo DiCaprio as his stunt double, both of whom are friends of Sharon Tate's. Dakota Fanning will play Manson follower Squeaky Fromme.

"I've been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was 7 years old," Tarantino has said of the film. "I'm very excited to tell this story of an L.A. and a Hollywood that don't exist anymore."

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is one of three movies due to be released next year marking the 50th anniversary of the so-called Manson Family Murders, in which followers of cult leader Manson killed the 26-year-old Tate along with four others who were in her home at the time.

The actresses playing Tate in the other two movies are Kate Bosworth, who is working closely with the Tate family on a film being directed by her husband, Michael Polish to be called simply Tate; and Hilary Duff, who is starring in The Haunting of Sharon Tate, which shows her dreaming of her own murder in the months leading up to the deadly event.
